Presenting the Amida Digitrend NASA Edition: A Tribute to a Pivotal Era of Human Exploration
We are proud to present a very special timepiece: the Amida Digitrend NASA Edition.
our plan was to create a synthesis of pioneering history and forward-thinking design, engineered to capture the spirit of an era when humanity dared to reach for the stars.
we honor the legacy of the Space Shuttle era. The original Amida Digitrend of 1976 was a bold statement. Today, we channel that same spirit of innovation, drawing inspiration from one of mankind's greatest journeys.
The design of this timepiece is a direct tribute to the monumental achievements of the Space Transportation System (STS). The case architecture, a black DLC-faceted metallic monobloc with a ceramic top shell, is engineered for maximum durability with minimal mass, directly referencing the semi-monocoque structure of the STS Orbiter. Adorning the case is the iconic NASA "worm" logotype, the symbol of a modern, forward-looking era for the agency from 1975 to 1992.
Inside, the timepiece is powered by a Soprod Newton P092 automatic caliber, connected to our in-house developed jumping hour disc with nine mechanical components. This maintains the classic digital display, viewed through a sapphire crystal reflective prism.
The strapping system is a direct homage to the ingenuity of the space program. A bi-material strap of leather and technical fabric is secured with a hook-and-loop fastening system, inspired by its critical application for securing equipment and astronauts in the zero-gravity environment of space.
We build this watch to honor a legacy of overcoming immense challenges to reach for the stars. It is the work of an independent team dedicated to Amida’s path of bold ideas and clear function. The Digitrend NASA Edition is our tribute to a pivotal era of human exploration, celebrating the achievements made while overcoming adversity.

Our inspiration comes from the iconic ceramic tiles covering the space shuttle's exterior, to protect it against the brutal heat of atmospheric reentry.
Inspired by NASA use of Velcro, the strap features a black nylon strap with space suit material insert, resembling astronaut gear. Includes a secure hook-and-loop system as a tribute to space program innovation.
